Stay and Play Child Minding (0 – 5 years)
This service is included with a Family Membership or Family Day Pass. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your child(ren) will enjoy the interactive atmosphere of our Stay ‘N Play Child Minding, supervised by our experienced staff. Drop your child off and attend a fitness class, work out in our Fitness Centre or hit the pool. They will socialize with other children and play to their heart’s content while you take time to look after your own wellness. Come join us – there is no need to register!
Note: children must be signed into the program by a parent/guardian in order to participate. Parents must remain in the building.

This is a supervised drop in space for children. Come prepared to play, read or just relax; kids must be signed in to the program by a parent/guardian in order to participate.

Wiggles & Giggles & Story Time | 0 – 5 years | Parent Participating| Sing songs, play games and wiggle and giggle!
Mondays: 10:30-11:00am in the Gym followed by Story Time from 11:10-11:40am in the Kidzone.
Playnasium | 0 – 5 years | Parent Participating | Build your children’s gross motor skills with this active play program in the gymnasium.
Lil’ Tumblers | 12 months – 5 years | Parent Participating | Colourful tumbling mats invite and encourage toddlers to explore and discover body awareness as they enhance social and motor skills.
Parent & Tot Messy Madness | 6 months-3 years | Parent Participating | Parents and children will have a great time getting messy and creating works of art in this fun and interactive class. Each week will feature different arts and crafts projects. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver who is at least 16 years old. ALL participants should wear old clothes and come prepared to get messy!

All programs require a Child membership. The programs listed below with the exception of Flick and Float follow our normal program calendar from September to June.
Kids Play Board Games | Ages 6 – 12 | Youth ages 6 – 12 can drop in and socialize while playing classic games like UNO, Snakes ‘n Ladders and Guess Who plus card games like Go Fish. We’ll meet in the Kidzone. Parents are required to sign their children into program. Donations of complete board games are welcome additions to our collection!
All Sorts of Sports | Ages 8-12 | This program is an opportunity for participants to engage in a variety of different sports. They will learn the basic skills needed to play the game.
Silly Science* | 6-8yrs and 9-12 yrs | Become a YMCA Silly Scientist learning through experimentation! Participate in hands on science experiments and sit in on exciting science demonstrations!
Wednesdays: 4:30-5:15pm (6-8) | 5:30-6:15pm (9-12)
Art for Kids* | Ages 6-8 | Make crafts using various art forms such as painting, sculpting, origami, paper mache and much more!
Flick and Float | Ages 6-12 | Twice a month youth will gather on a Friday night to watch a movie, have some pizza and go for a swim. At 5:00pm the pizza will be ordered and the movie starts. At 6:30pm the children go down for a swim. This is a Drop in program. Parents are required to sign their children in and out of program. Fridays from 4:30-7:00pm

Kids Club* | 4 – 7 years & 8 – 12 years | Meet your friends at the Y on Saturday mornings and give mom and dad a break for a couple of hours, while you spend time with our staff having fun. Spend your mornings doing sports, crafts, games and go for a swim. Children should also bring a healthy peanut free snack. Participants will be separated into age categories during program in order to meet age-specific needs. Note: Program requires parent to sign children in and out.
Karate Lessons | The YMCA’s Karate program has been rn by Foley’s Family Karate for the past 30+ years. Training takes place at Romeo Public School in the gym. Discounts are given to YMCA Members. This program is for ages 8 and up.
Mondays and Thursdays from 7 – 8:30pm.

Plan to spend a fun-filled birthday at the Y! Make it a day to remember as we spend the afternoon playing party game, swimming and spending time in our decorated party room.
Our Birthday Party Package includes; 45 minutes in the multipurpose room, 45 minutes in the Party room and 1 hour in the swimming pool* (during the Rec. swim);

- 2 Medium Pizzas (cheese or pepperoni) or Bakery Cake and Ice Cream (choose between Vanilla or Chocolate)

- You can bring additional snacks/food but all items must be NUT-FREE
- 15 minutes before and after your party to set-up and clean up

- Parties are designed for 10 children including birthday child. Additional children can be added for $10/child.
Parties are offered on Saturdays & Sundays from 1:00 – 3:30pm
Cost: $175 for YMCA Members and $200 for Non-Members. Additional $10/child after 10 children.

Spring 1 | February 7 (wed) – April 14 (sat) | 9 weeks
Parent/Tot | For children between the ages of 18 months to under 3 years. Tots will get up, be active, and starts to experience the basics of gymnastics. Our class will rotate throughout the gymnasium and children will experience the balance beam, uneven bars, vault and tumbling floor. All parents must remain in the gymnasium throughout the class. Parent participation is strongly encouraged.

Kinder | A 1-hour program for youth 3 – 5 years teaching basic movement patterns and introducing gymnastics skills on the beam, bars, vault and floor. Advanced Recreational* | 18wks | A 2-hour program is for youth ages 6 & up who have completed CANGYM Level 1 – 4. Participants will follow the CANGYM program while also setting individual goals. Gymnasts will polish more advanced gymnastics skills through increased gym time and expanded gymnastics coaching. Skills progress is monitored and levels are recognized with a report card after each session.
Member $280 / Non-Member $310 / additional $75 for second class Advanced Recreational runs for 18 weeks from February 7th (w) to June 16 (s)
