Stratford YMCA Early Learning and Development Centres
The YMCA provides an essential service to the families in the community through Child Care Programs, which deliver a stimulating learning experience to children in safe environments. The early years are vital to a child’s development. Tremendous care and respect are given to all programs and environments in appreciation of the privilege given to us to support and influence each child’s development while in our care. There is opportunity within YMCA Child Care Services to enrich and strengthen family life through the experiences shared and partnerships formed.
Our Vision: Providing opportunities to families and children by investing in community partnerships and promoting healthy living through accessible and sustainable quality programming.

School Age Programs are child focused and provide opportunities for social interaction, creative experiences and physical activity. Program requirements include daily Physical Activity and Nutrition opportunities and child directed interests made available based on interactive programming that includes the children’s input. Children may also choose to do their homework on their own. All programs maintain safe environments and follow the Safe Schools Act to ensure each child has a positive experience. Programs may occasionally involve interactions with other community agencies and programs to enhance experiences. All Stratford programs participate in swim and gym schedules with the YMCA.
