Breaking Down Barriers
We believe all children deserve a chance to make new friends, try new skills and experience the exciting opportunities that are available to them at summer camp! The Stratford-Perth Family YMCA is pleased to offer summer experiences for children with special physical, behavioural and developmental considerations. In order for us to do our best to ensure your child’s needs are met please indicate any special considerations your child may have on the Camper Information Form. There is an additional “Integration and Accessibility Camper Profile” that you will be asked to fill out (available at 204 Downie Street, or via email). Please note: failure to identify your child’s special considerations may result in the loss of their summer camp space.
Another exhilarating summer awaits your child where they can reunite with old friends and make some new ones! Children will explore, play, learn and grow together. Active games, fun activities, crafts and swimming will fill your campers days! Special activities will be planned to keep the excitement high and the adventure fresh!
Our Day camps run from 8:30am – 4:30pm daily. We understand the demands of busy families! That is why we offer safe, convenient care options for your child before and after camp hours. Supervised care far campers is available starting at 6:30am and available again at the end of the day until 6:00pm. No extra change!!
Summer Adventure Camp
Our Summer Adventure Camps will not have a specific theme, week to week, but rather will focus on what our campers are most interested in. As always we will have a YMCA Value focus to teach and foster value based actions with our campers. Summer Camp Value Beads will be given out as signs of character and personal achievement. As an important form of recognition at camp, beads promote positive behaviour and are worn as a constant reminder of what we value as a camp community. You can find more specific information about our Value Beads in our Camp Handbook.
Summer Adventure is also available in St. Marys and Mitchell. *
New Age Groups!
Junior 4-6 years, Youth 7-9 years, Senior 10-12 years.
