Breaking Down Barriers
We believe all children deserve a chance to make new friends, try new skills and experience the exciting opportunities that are available to them at camp! The Stratford-Perth Family YMCA is pleased to offer camp experiences for children with special physical, behavioural and developmental considerations. In order for us to do our best to ensure your child’s needs are met please indicate any special considerations your child may have on the Camper Information Form. There is an additional “Integration and Accessibility Camper Profile” that you will be asked to fill out (available at 204 Downie Street, or via email). Please note: failure to identify your child’s special considerations may result in the loss of their camp space.
Our school year day camps are offered at the Stratford YMCA from 9:00am – 4:30pm. Just like our traditional Summer Day Camp, programs for School Year Day Camp are designed based on the principals of YMCA Canada’s Healthy Child Development. This research-based approach provides our camp staff with the tools to create developmentally appropriate programming, empowering campers with some choice and allowing them to grow through their experiences.
