There are many different spiders in the United States, but there are also a few types that you might find more often than others. Some of these more Utah Common Spiders include:
1. Black Widow
The black widow is a much more dangerous spider. These spiders use their venom to kill their prey so that they can eat it afterward. Male black widows have a distinctive hourglass-shaped marking on their abdomen, but females aren’t distinguishable by this feature because they don’t have an hourglass shape at all. The male’s hourglass shape distinguishes them from female brown recluses and males of other species as well because these particular species don’t refer to themselves. This kind of spider is most commonly found in the United States and can be found mostly in rural areas and urban settings.
2. Brown Recluse Spider
The brown recluse spider is a much less dangerous species of spider that many people are more familiar with. The brown recluse is named after the fact that they prefer to live in rural areas and that they often hide in burrows. They tend to be found all over the United States, but they can also be found near Utah’s deserts because many people move to these areas for this reason as well. This particular kind of spider has a distinctive violin-shaped marking on its back that makes them easily distinguishable from other kinds of spiders. It does not have this trait, however. They are also commonly found in new homes, so it is important to keep them from entering your home if you can.
3. Wolf Spider
Most people are familiar with the common wolf spider and have never even heard of a wolf spider until they have been introduced to it. The wolf spiders of Utah tend to be smaller than the common wolf spider and can be easily distinguished because they have distinctive stripes on their bodies. Wolf spiders prefer semi-arid areas, like the Salt Lake Valley in Utah, but they can also be found in other places just as long as there is something for them to eat and there is enough room for them to live comfortably. There are multiple kinds of wolf spiders, but the ones in Utah can be easily distinguished from other wolf spiders because they have stripes on them.
4. Jumping Spider
Jumping spiders are one of the more unusual types of spiders in Utah, and they tend to be more active during the day than other species of spiders. They also have very good vision, which is how they are able to chase down their prey and jump on it when the time is right for them to do so. Just like with most types of spiders, it shouldn’t matter what jumping spiders you see because jumping spiders aren’t dangerous unless you get bit by one – and even then, it shouldn’t really hurt much at all.
Tarantulas are one of the more well-known types of spiders in Utah because they are very popular pets. Tarantulas aren’t found in Utah, but they tend to live in warmer climates like Florida, Texas, and California. They can be dangerous if they become trapped in your clothing, and they also bite, which is why it is so important to let them go outside.
